I cannot take a language module for credits, what can I do?
Students who cannot take a language module as part of their credit modules can join the classes as fee-paying students if spaces are available. The cost is £160 per semester.
What are evening classes and how are they different from the credit bearing modules?
These paid-for classes are open to University students, staff and the general public, they are two hours long and run once per week. These modules are not credit bearing so cannot count as part of your degree. For further information go to the Language Centre website.
Can I take a language module through the Nottingham Advantage Award scheme?
Yes. Go to the Nottingham Advantage Award (NAA) website for further information. There is a fee of £160 per semester for the NAA Language Centre modules.
Do I get a certificate for taking a language module?
This does not happen automatically, but if you request it when you have completed a module or a series of modules with us, the Language Centre will be happy to issue a certificate.
