Future Nottingham is a resilience programme at the University of Nottingham. Its goals are to maintain the university’s status as a global leader in education, innovation, student success, and research while remaining financially sustainable in an increasingly challenging higher education landscape.
Part of this involves a proposal to restructure our existing faculties into three colleges to encourage resource sharing and cross-disciplinary collaboration, and to assist with providing an equitable student experience. There is also a proposal to close a small number of academic courses based on a number of factors including lower levels of student demand.
