If you’ve recently received a diagnosis (e.g. of a disability or condition) that will likely affect your assessments, the process to follow depends on whether assessments are pending or taken already.

It is recommended that you discuss this with Disability Support, your personal tutor or your academic guide for advice.  It might be that you need to submit an EC claim. Deadlines will run from the date of your late diagnosis so it is important to take prompt action.

EC claims relating to late diagnosis of conditions covered by the Equality Act 2010 may be considered up to the point of the Board of Examiners decision or via appeal (within one month of notification of the exam board progression or award decision).

More information can be found in the Policy on Long term Conditions or Disabilities to Study and/or Comply with Assessment Requirements.
