The UK Government has confirmed that the maximum tuition fee for UK Home undergraduate and Initial Teacher Training students studying in England will increase to £9,535 for the 2025-26 academic year.

The university will charge this maximum approved fee, which is an increase of £285.  Therefore, the tuition fee for all Home status UG students, both new and returning, will be £9,535 for the 2025-26 academic year.  You do not need to do anything.

Fees have not increased for seven years, which means they have not kept in line with inflation.

If you pay your fees directly to the university, you will receive a charge notification once you have completed registration and module enrolment for the 2025-26 academic year. Fees will be due in three instalments.

If you have a tuition fee loan, the additional fees will be covered by your student loan.

If you’re undertaking a placement, year in industry or year abroad in 2025-26, you will pay a proportion of the full fee. Please see the exceptional fees webpage for more information.

If your sponsor pays your tuition fees and your current sponsor letter states they will cover up to £9,250.00 per year only, you will need to provide a revised letter if your sponsor will pay the £9,535.00 for 2025/26.
