Following the annual review of the Student Contract, we are reminding students of their requirements to re-register at the start of each academic year (1 August, annually), to include thesis pending year, if eligible.
Registering in your thesis pending period is not optional (as of 1 August 2025). You will continue to have full access to supervision and University resources to support you in completing the thesis.
Registration in thesis pending may allow you to be exempt from council tax, but you should always check with your individual Council as to their exemptions.
